You can’t buy happiness, but you can hire our doulas for overnight support.

DAYTIME & OVERNIGHT CARE

A postpartum doula can help you and your family enjoy each special moment as you bring baby home. Having our postpartum doulas in your home allows you the flexibility to recover from birth while having someone on hand that is knowledgable about the normal recovery process. We are skilled in newborn and infant care, feeding, and sleep. We know babies, and we know new mothers and parents. We can help you through those times when you aren’t sure what to try next, or reassure you that you are doing everything right.

Many families have support immediately after birth from visiting family, and then family goes home, and the parents realize they need or want more support. We can provide care for your family from Day 1, or anytime you decide you could benefit from our services. Your need for help doesn’t have an expiration date, and neither do we. We’ve supported families past the newborn and infant phases when they desire help for an extended period of time, or even a refresher after an exceptionally trying period.

Our non-judgemental support services allow you to have an extra pair of hands and a listening ear. We are right there with you to provide ideas, resources, and information about topics you want to explore. It’s like having a walking baby reference manual in your home with you during the times you need it most.

We can help with your baby so you can relax, sleep, spend time with older siblings, take a shower, or just have some time alone. We also change diapers! We can help with tasks so you can rest and focus on your baby. You may just need some time alone to cuddle and enjoy your newborn without worrying about a clean kitchen, your older kids, making dinner, grocery shopping, meal planning, or the laundry. We do that for you. We can offer the services of our Certified Lactation Counselor and Educator if you would like additional breastfeeding/chestfeeding support. We support all feeding methods, and know that each family needs to make the choice best for their baby and their circumstances. There is no one right answer, and we know this. We can help you find the best fit for you and your baby if you need help.

We will support you in the parenting philosphy you feel most comfortable with, and help you gain confidence in your role as a parent whether this is your first baby, or your fourth. We offer overnight and live in support as well as daily shifts and will work with you to make the plan that fits best for your family and needs. We’d love to be part of your village, and help you have the best experience with your newborn. We are here for you!

Labor DOULAS

Our clients want individualized ongoing support from a knowledgable expert that knows birth. That person is a professional labor doula. Our clients are typically giving birth in the hospital with an OB practice, and choose to hire labor doulas for many reasons. It used to be that people thought doulas were only for home births or someone desiring a medication free birth. This has completely changed.

Your doula provides physical, emotional, and informational support. The birthing person wants a consistent presence regardless of shift changes or which provider ends up on call. They want reassurance and compassionate care, supporting their own unique goals for their birth. Every birth is different. We understand this, and we help you throughout your pregnancy and labor to manage your experience so you feel confident and prepared.

We are completely judgement free in everything we do. We don’t have a birth philosophy, except to support yours. If you desire an epidural, a medication free birth, or a cesarean section, our support is there with you no matter what. We also know that many times you don’t know what you want and we will talk to you about all of your options and help you decide if there are specific values that are important to you for this birth.

We are professionally trained to work with your care providers and not against them. We encourage you to find a provider you trust, and support the relationship you build with your provider. We respect the hospital staff and will work to create a positive and collaborative atmosphere. We trust your provider and your nurses to give you the best possible care. We are part of your birth team, and support your choices. We are always close by for a reassuring word or a calming touch. Our presence often relieves the pressure your partner may feel, so they can fully experience the birth with you without worry.

We are on-call for our Labor Doula clients from the moment they hire us. You never have to worry, your team of doulas is there at anytime for any reason. We are available to answer questions, provide reassurance, suggest resources, or just to listen. Your always on-call team of professional labor doulas are dependable and compassionate. We’d love to be a member of your team!

PRIVATE CHILDBIRTH

EDUCATION

We offer private childbirth classes on your schedule in the comfort of your own home. Dates and times are flexible and work with your availability and due date. Even if you have decided to take a class and you are due soon, we can make a class work for you!

We provide you with tools to help you during labor regardless of the type of birth you plan for or have. We don’t teach a specific method or right way to give birth. If there is one thing we know, it is that every birth is different! We customize our class content as needed for YOU. We include what you need to know for your sepcific birth goals and your unique situation.

Our certified labor doulas teach our customized childbirth classes. Our doulas have experience attending labors and birth in our local hospitals, and can help prepare you with what to expect. We also encourage every client to take advantage of the tour offerred by your chosen hospital.

Our childbirth classes take place in the privacy of your own personal space, so you can ask any questions you have without worry. No question is wrong, and we can discuss your fears or rumors you’ve heard. We have many options to make the class just right for you, your schedule, and your needs. GRANDPARENTS TO BE

Modern grandparents plan to support their children as they grow into parenthood. They want the most up to date information so they can support the parenting choices their child makes. As a modern grandparent you want the best for your new grandchild, and we help you prepare for this new role.

SIBLING PREP

We help your child learn about their new role as a big brother or sister. They will learn what to expect and how to help with the baby. Our class will reinforce how important they are in the process of adjusting to life with a new baby at home. We offer 1:1 or group sessions for parents and their child or children.

BIRTH PLANNING

Talking with one of our knowledgable and experienced professional doulas about what to expect during labor can help you feel calm and prepared for your birth experience. We will help you plan for conversations with your care provider about your options, questions, and goals. Our birth planning sessions are perfect for any point in your pregnancy.

LIVE IN SUPPORT

Our doulas can stay with you for a few days, a week, or more. We can help you build or maintain the routine you desire. Having our doulas live in allows you the freedom to explore your parenting options with support anytime you need us! And we never have opinions on your choices.

Our breastfeeding/chestfeeding classes help you gain the confidence and knowledge you need to feed your baby. Our Certified Lactation Educator will show you what you’ll need to know and answer all of your questions, 1:1 in the privacy of your own home.

Our Certified Lactation Educator makes house calls. We will help you with questions, trouble shooting, or reassurance. When you need help, we will be there.
